Job summary

Women In Need, Inc. (Win) seeks a Housing Manager to lead housing placement efforts for families in Win shelters.

You will supervise Housing Coordinators, strengthen housing partnerships, and drive strategies for successful transitions from shelter to permanent housing. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, you will oversee housing services, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with Case Managers and clinical staff to implement individualized housing plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in social work, human services, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NYC housing market.
• Knowledge of housing subsidies, supportive housing programs, and entitlement systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Housing Coordinators to achieve housing placement goals.
• Guide on housing subsidies, programs, and application processes.
• Build relationships with landlords, brokers, and housing providers.
• Lead housing workshops, orientations, fairs, and networking events.
• Collaborate with Case Managers and staff to develop individualized housing strategies.
• Track referrals, placements, and key metrics to meet program goals.
• Ensure accurate case documentation and compliance with CARES and funding rules.
• Attend apartment viewings, lease signings, and related activities, including occasional evenings/weekends.
