Job summary

May Institute seeks an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist to work in home and community settings, partnering with families of birth-3 children to support development. The role involves IFSP coordination, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure culturally responsive services.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in a related field, have 300+ practicum hours with young children, and can participate in telehealth when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to child development/early childhood education.
• Minimum 300 practicum hours or work with children under five.
• At least four approved 3-credit courses focused on infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities

• Provide home and community-based visits using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed strategies.
• Support children in inclusive community settings with typical peers.
• Conduct telehealth sessions as needed.
• Lead IFSP coordination and progress monitoring.
• Partner with families to develop, implement, and update IFSPs.
• Coordinate services identified in the IFSP and monitor outcomes.
• Complete session notes and required documentation on time.
