May Institute is seeking an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist to provide home and community-based services for young children and their families. The role emphasizes family-centered planning, IFSP coordination, and collaboration with school systems and providers to ensure inclusive, culturally responsive services.

• Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
• Minimum of four approved 3-credit courses focused on infants and toddlers.
• At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with children under age five.
• Strong time management skills.
• Works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Deliver family-centered services

• Provide home and community-based visits using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed strategies

• Partner with families to develop, implement, and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
• Coordinate services and supports identified in the IFSP
• Monitor functional outcomes and complete six-month reviews and required documentation
• Assist with transition planning at least six months prior to discharge, including referrals and participation in IEP meetings when applicable

Collaborate and advocate

• Serve as a liaison between families, ancillary providers, and school systems
• Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and team meetings
• Ensure services and communication are culturally and linguistically responsive

Maintain compliance and documentation

• Complete session notes and required paperwork within established timelines
• Maintain accurate records for assigned children
• Follow DPH and organizational standards for documentation, confidentiality, and training
