May Institute is seeking an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist to provide home and community-based services for young children and their families. The role emphasizes family-centered planning, IFSP coordination, and collaboration with school systems and providers to ensure inclusive, culturally responsive services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
• Minimum of four approved 3-credit courses focused on infants and toddlers.
• At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with children under age five.
• Strong time management skills.
• Works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver family-centered services through home and community-based visits using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed strategies.
• Support children in fully participating in inclusive community settings with typical peers.
• Conduct telehealth sessions as needed.
• Lead IFSP coordination and progress monitoring with families to develop, implement, and update IFSPs.
• Coordinate services and supports identified in the IFSP; monitor outcomes and complete six-month reviews and documentation.
• Assist with transition planning at least six months prior to discharge, including referrals and participation in IEP meetings when applicable.
• Collaborate with families, ancillary providers, and school systems; participate in multidisciplinary assessments and team meetings.
• Maintain compliance and complete session notes and required documentation within established timelines.
