Job summary

Drake State Community and Technical College is seeking a FAME Data Coordinator to support data collection, participant tracking, analysis and reporting for the FAME project. The role manages day‑to‑day data, ensures accuracy and privacy, and produces reports to inform grant management, performance metrics and program decisions.

A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of data experience are required; proficiency with Excel and data tools, strong communication, and attention to detail are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in data collection, research, tracking, analyzing, documenting, and/or presenting data.
• Knowledge of research processes and data collection/analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and data entry tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle complex situations.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

• Ability to work nonstandard hours, including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work with grant staff to develop and implement workflow, data entry and collection, and reporting policies and procedures.
• Analyze data to provide updates and support decision making on grant objectives.
• Monitor performance and develop reports for staff review and planning.
• Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
• Research and resolve data/reporting inconsistencies for quality control and grant compliance.
• Maintain records per grant terms and retention policies.
• Develop forms and documents to obtain required data from participants and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with software vendor on database maintenance and operations.
• Assist with data analysis and reporting requests; design reports to meet needs.
• Ensure timely collection and reporting of participant data (enrollment, certificates, job placement, etc.).
• Collaborate with staff to plan workplans and timelines for data systems.
