Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer for Falcon to drive assembly, integration, and testing of flight vehicles at Vandenberg. You will lead hands-on activities, develop procedures, and coordinate with engineers to resolve issues ensuring flight readiness.

The role requires a degree in engineering, hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical/fluid systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup-like environment. U.S. work eligibility and base at Vandenberg AFB are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical and/or fluid systems.
• Experience applying test procedures and coordinating with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Process Falcon 9 flight vehicles for rapid, reliable reuse, integration and launch.
• Develop and execute procedures for checkout and integration of new and flight proven rockets and ground support equipment.
• Assist with hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of vehicle assemblies.
• Lead on-site operations and coordinate with SpaceX teams to resolve test results and ensure flight readiness.
• Provide direction to field technicians daily.
• Design and develop tools and hardware to enable vehicle assembly and testing.
• Identify high-risk processes and implement improvements for operational excellence.
• Lead root cause investigations to fix reliability and quality issues.
• Develop manufacturing assembly procedures from lessons learned.
• Manage work orders and drive non-conformances into actionable items and improvements.
