Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in California is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer (Falcon) to lead the integration, testing, and readiness of Falcon flight vehicles. You will develop procedures, oversee hands-on assembly, and coordinate with engineering staff across sites to resolve issues and ensure mission success.

The role emphasizes designing tools, mentoring technicians, and driving process improvements in a fast-growing startup environment with potential travel and ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical and/or fluid systems in design, manufacturing, or implementation.
• Experience writing test plans and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process Falcon 9 flight vehicles for rapid and reliable reuse, integration and launch.
• Develop and execute procedures for checkout and integration of rockets and ground support equipment.
• Lead on-site assembly, integration, and testing of vehicle components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve off‑nominal test results and ensure flight readiness.
• Direct and mentor field technicians daily.
• Design tools and hardware to enable vehicle assembly and testing.
• Identify high-risk processes and drive improvements for operational excellence.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations for reliability issues.
• Refine manufacturing assembly procedures based on lessons learned.
• Manage work orders and drive non-conformances into actionable improvements.
