Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who will deliver LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis while upholding the organization’s Christian values and policies. The role requires active church participation and strong communication with staff, volunteers, and students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, implementing approved lesson plans, maintaining a safe classroom, and reporting attendance.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher.
• Communicate with the teacher.
