Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking a Recruitment and Retention Coordinator to partner with deans, program chairs, and academic leadership to recruit, onboard, and support full-time and adjunct faculty.

Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, the coordinator will implement strategies to attract, onboard, and retain high-quality faculty, managing the experience from initial contact through onboarding and ongoing career support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience supporting faculty, staff, or academic programs in an educational setting.
• Experience working in higher education preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience using technology in online and technology-enhanced learning environments.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and handle confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Academic Affairs leadership and stakeholders to support recruitment and retention of faculty.
• Assist in processing, reviewing, and maintaining documentation related to faculty teaching credentials.
• Coordinate and support faculty onboarding processes.
• Integrate newly hired faculty into the college learning community.
• Develop, maintain, and manage digital records as required by campus and Systems Office.
• Provide support for faculty teaching during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Assist in the facilitation and coordination of faculty-led professional development activities.
• Coordinate with Educational Technology staff to ensure onboarding and training for the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.
