Job summary

RTX, based in McKinney, TX, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Operations Associate Director to lead a key factory area in the APC microelectronics group. You will oversee production and development hardware, drive Lean transformation, and work with engineering, quality, and supply chain to deliver world-class products.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in leadership within manufacturing, with strong Lean/Six Sigma experience, and hold US citizenship eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications

• University degree (or equivalent) with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in leadership managing production/engineering teams.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead factory operations to achieve output, quality, schedule adherence, and support to production and development programs.
• Develop and lead Value Stream Managers, manufacturing managers, depot managers, and cell leaders to build a high-performing organization.
• Drive CORE and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, throughput, and reduce waste.
• Develop and execute long-term factory strategies aligned with goals and senior leadership direction.
• Manage manufacturing schedules and capacity to meet demands while controlling cost and ensuring on-time/on-quality performance.
• Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program leadership to resolve issues and integrate new products into the factory.
• Achieve improvements in KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, yield, labor utilization, and cost per unit.
• Ensure safety, ISO and AS9100 compliance, fostering a culture of safety and urgency.
• Manage operational budgets and financial performance in line with company objectives.
• Serve as liaison to senior leadership and external stakeholders with clear performance updates and risk mitigations.
• Maintain partnerships with supply chain and procurement to ensure material availability and minimal disruptions.
• Promote professional development and cross-functional collaboration among factory personnel.
