Job summary

Rnb Consultancy is seeking manufacturing engineers who can own factory projects end to end, using software to drive quoting, scheduling, shop-floor automation, and data collection. You will be responsible for software that runs machines and processes on the factory floor and for vision or sensor projects that accelerate production.

This is an in-person role in Detroit with relocation, offering a base salary in a mission-driven, fast-growing environment where you directly impact real factories.

Qualifications

• Experience building systems that touch the physical world in manufacturing or hardware environments.
• 2+ years of end-to-end project ownership, preferably in hardware-heavy settings.
• Willingness to relocate to Detroit; in-person work required; US citizen or green card holder.

Responsibilities

• Own factory projects end to end from quoting to shop-floor automation and data.
• Develop software that controls machines and processes on the factory floor.
• Lead vision/sensor projects to improve factory speed and throughput.

This isn't a classic software job: you're a manufacturing engineer who owns factory projects end to end and gets them done through software, from quoting and scheduling to shop-floor automation and data.

What you'll own

• Factory projects end to end: quoting, scheduling, shop-floor automation and data
• Software that runs machines and processes on the floor
• Vision and sensor projects that make the factory faster

Must-haves

• You've built systems that touch the physical world, with real manufacturing or hardware dependencies
• Zero-to-one or small-team work where you owned whole projects
• 2+ years of experience (roughly 2–5)
• In person in Detroit, 9-9-6 (relocation needed)
• US citizen or green card holder

Bonus points

• Formula SAE, rocketry or similar engineering-competition teams
• Vision or sensor work
• CNC, machining or shop-floor experience
