Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is helping a fast-growing startup in Boston, MA hire a Forward Deployed Engineer for on-site deployments across the Food & Beverage sector. The role blends engineering, customer engagement, and real-world impact with hands-on work on factory floors.

Travel up to 50% is required as you work directly with major brands to optimize industrial processes, implement AI/IoT solutions, and support scalable deployments across global production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.

This is a full-time opportunity for a Forward Deployed Engineer supporting deployments across the Food & Beverage sector. The company is building cutting-edge AI co-pilot models and sensor-based solutions that optimize factory performance, reduce waste, and drive sustainability across global production environments. 3 days per week onsite.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field
• 1+ year of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (food & beverage, chemicals, pharma, etc.)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders
• Exposure to industrial systems such as PLCs, sensors, or plant operations
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with industrial automation, Industry 4.0, or IoT technologies
• Familiarity with IT/OT systems, networking, or cloud integration
• Experience working with sensor or time-series data
• Background in process optimization or production environments
• Startup or high-growth environment experience

Daily Responsibilities

• 60% Hands On (on-site deployments, troubleshooting, implementation)
