Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Worker at Chicago Premium Outlets to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Expect to perform preventive maintenance, interior/exterior repairs, painting, lighting, and general upkeep of the property.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of building maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; Technical School certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 2-3 years of building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
• Ability to read documents, plans and schematics and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior and exterior areas including lighting, painting and drywall.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and keep logs and records.
• Support events setup and cart placement/repair with other departments.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
