Job summary

Simon Property Group in Orlando is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, plus related structural elements of the center.

You will inspect and service site equipment, perform minor repairs to interior and exterior areas, support Marketing events, maintain safety procedures, and document work and inventories according to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience performing carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing functions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions.
• Paint, electrical, plumbing, and drywall skills.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes repairs to mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and plumbing systems, as well as structural elements on the property
• Perform maintenance/minor repairs on interior/exterior areas including painting, drywall, plumbing, lighting, and cleaning tasks
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of property
• Assist Marketing with events and Local Leasing with cart placement and repair
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety standards
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance programs as assigned
• Maintain inventory records, MSDS, supplies and tools
• Inspect air handling units, belts, filters and grease components; log activities
• Carry out exterior custodial duties and trash handling as needed
• May perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
