Job summary

Simon Property Group in Lake Charles (Prien Lake Mall) is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems while tending to the property's interior and exterior areas.

You will inspect and repair equipment, read schematics, and follow safety guidelines, with a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical school certifications and/or training preferred.
• 2–3 years of building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of safety rules and accident prevention measures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform minor interior/exterior repairs (painting, drywall, lighting, etc.).
• Operate preventive maintenance and document logs.
• Assist with events setup and coordination with other departments.
• Work days/evenings/weekends as needed; lift up to 50 pounds; valid driver’s license.
