Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain and build new buildings, and to perform general maintenance, installation and repairs across sites. You will coordinate with fellow technicians, utilize hand and power tools, and participate in ongoing training at U-Haul University.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, timely work requests, and safe operation of equipment, with opportunities for advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
