Job summary

U‑Haul is seeking a motivated Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team of technicians. You will use your technical skills to inspect, maintain, and build new buildings while collaborating with others on complex projects.

The role involves hands-on maintenance, preventive inspections, and ongoing training through U‑Haul University. A valid driver’s license and safety awareness are required; DOT certification can be sponsored.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver's license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U‑Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.
