U-Haul International, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and construct buildings, while collaborating with a team of technicians on complex projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, preventive inspections, and the use of various hand and power tools, with ongoing training through U‑Haul University. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
