Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and installations across multiple sites. You will collaborate with other technicians to complete complex projects while learning valuable skills on the job.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on use of hand and power tools, and ongoing education through U-Haul University. You’ll participate in preventive maintenance, roof inspections, and keep detailed records, with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
