Job summary

Sysco Florida facility is seeking an Operations supervisor who will oversee the maintenance, repair, and appearance of the building, grounds, and security. The role includes managing safety, regulatory compliance, expense control, and directing maintenance staff and third-party providers.

Responsibilities cover supervising daily work, coaching maintenance associates, coordinating assets, and developing vendor relationships to ensure efficient operations and uninterrupted service.

Qualifications

• Three years on-the-job maintenance experience with electric pallet jacks and electric forklifts.
• Understanding of general building maintenance, refrigeration, plumbing, processing equipment, welding and AIB preparation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, beverage department, power industrial equipment and security.
• Review, coach, and develop the maintenance associates; monitor work, adherence to policy and safety; issue discipline when necessary.
• Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings and open communication; propose ideas to improve engagement and enablement.
• Supervises selection, purchase, utilization and inventory of Company assets; coordinates with other departments for upgrades and repairs.
