Job summary

Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. in Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to provide technical expertise during store hours, performing repairs and upkeep of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and associated building systems.

You will develop relationships with internal and external customers, support preventive maintenance, and assist with capital planning and energy management systems.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• 2–5 years’ experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and self-prioritize work assignments.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders; capable of after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on building equipment and maintain safety logs.
• Inspect facility equipment including vertical transportation, boilers, generators, and HVAC.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist in managing expense accounts.
• Assist with execution of capital planning projects and energy management systems.
• Oversee store systems such as POS and telephone systems; support kitchen equipment as needed.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency calls; limited time off during peak season.
