Kāhala Nui, Hawaiʻi’s premier senior living community, seeks a reliable Full-Time Maintenance Tech to join our team in Honolulu. The role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive work on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure safety and comfort for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in building maintenance, basic technical knowledge, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years building maintenance experience with general knowledge in all facets of building maintenance.
• Basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Basic knowledge of construction principles.
• Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
• Must be available Sunday through Saturday.
• Must be available to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep facilities safe and functional.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Support safety compliance and minimize downtime to create a comfortable environment for residents and staff.
