Job summary

Neiman Marcus seeks a maintenance technician to uphold building systems in a Saks Global luxury store environment. You will perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and related equipment, and support energy management efforts.

You will coordinate with the Regional Manager, order supplies, assist capital projects, respond to after-hours calls, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining the highest level of store operations, including during peak holiday windows.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Two to five years experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability to multitask and self-prioritize work assignments.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders; communicate effectively with peers, management, contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on building equipment and maintain safety inspection logs.
• Inspect facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators and HVAC.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist Regional Manager with maintenance expenses.
• Assist Regional Manager with capital planning projects.
• Maintain building energy management systems and lighting (e.g., Trane Ensemble Software).
• Support store systems including POS and telephone systems; assist with kitchen equipment as needed.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency calls; overtime may be required.
• Limited time off between Black Friday and January 8.
