Job summary

Neiman Marcus in Paramus, NJ seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair system equipment across a luxury retail environment. Responsibilities include electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and energy management, with after-hours callouts and overtime as needed.

Required are a vocational/college degree in mechanical or electrical fields and 2–5 years of related experience or a four-year apprenticeship. Lifting up to 50 pounds and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school or college in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Two to Five years experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on building equipment and envelope; log safety inspections.
• Inspect facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators, and HVAC.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist regional manager with expenses.
• Assist in capital planning projects and energy management systems including lighting.
• Support POS/telephone systems and other store tech; respond to after-hours calls.
