Job summary

SUNSETRIDGE is seeking a reliable maintenance worker to uphold grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner. You will follow maintenance schedules, report incidents, and coordinate daily services with nursing staff to support resident living areas.

The role requires basic education, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work independently while maintaining care and use of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of maintenance work areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Service heating and cooling units/systems as specified by the manufacturer.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
