Job summary

Sun Communities in the United States seeks a Maintenance Technician responsible for routine and preventative upkeep of our communities. You will perform home and facilities repairs, keep grounds and facilities clean, and deliver good service to residents as part of daily operations.

Responsibilities include trash pickup, minor repairs, irrigation checks, snow removal, lawn maintenance, safety compliance, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience in apartments or manufactured housing preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred.
• General maintenance knowledge and repair abilities preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in varied temperatures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills including email and internet.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to upkeep grounds, facilities, and utilities.
• Handle daily trash/debris removal from common areas.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Inspect irrigation systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Load and remove snow from streets and entrances as applicable.
• Maintain lawns, perform landscaping tasks, and manage curb appeal.
• Ensure safety and report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors.
• Maintain pool, vehicles, and equipment where applicable.
• Follow safety procedures and operate company vehicles as needed.
