Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitor to perform a variety of cleaning tasks across assigned facilities, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation and order. You will dust high surfaces, sanitize touched areas, mop floors and maintain public spaces to a high standard.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and the stamina to stand, walk and lift as needed. Flexibility for varying shifts including evenings or weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High dust surfaces above shoulder height in a counter‑clockwise pattern.
• Sanitize surfaces below shoulder height and remove fingerprints.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms per the specified sequence.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Dust mop and vacuum floors, cleaning under furniture.
• Maintain grounds and clean public areas including sidewalks and benches.
• Spot clean and sanitize food court areas and dispose of trash.
• Sanitize floors and inspect room after cleaning.
• Provide courteous customer service and report issues to supervision.
