Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to perform a variety of cleaning tasks in assigned buildings, ensuring sanitary and orderly conditions. You will handle high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash disposal and floor care with attention to detail and safety.

The role requires adherence to proper cleaning procedures, daily housekeeping routines, and the ability to follow instructions and maintain a neat appearance on shift.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• To perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings/facilities, keeping them clean, sanitary and orderly.
• Work in a counter clockwise direction for high dusting and sanitizing surfaces below shoulder height.
• Clean bathrooms with germicidal solution and ensure soap and paper dispensers are stocked.
• Empty trash cans, dust mop and vacuum floors, and maintain public common areas.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning and report any issues to the supervisor.
