Job summary

GEO Group seeks a chief administrator for a facility in Eagle Pass, TX. You will work with regional and local management to develop and attain goals and manage the facility's budget according to policy direction.

This role plans and leads administration, security, and treatment programs, sets objectives, and maintains close working relationships with client departments. You will enforce policies, supervise staff, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field supplemented by courses in business administration.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in a correctional or detention facility at the associate Facility Administrator or Warden level or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of program objectives, policies, correctional laws and procedures for managing a secure facility.
• Strong leadership, sound judgment and effective administrative ability; ability to guide and coordinate others.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides leadership for administration, security and treatment programs; sets goals and objectives.
• Develops and maintains relationships with client departments and representatives.
• Directs policy enforcement and develops guidelines and procedures.
• Manages staff selection, development and discipline; delegates authority for duties.
• Ensures procedures and techniques are established in all programs and operations.
• Responds to emergencies and ensures safety of inmates and staff.
