Job summary

The GEO Group is seeking a Facility Administrator to serve as the chief administrator of a correctional facility. You will partner with regional and local management to meet goals and manage budgetary responsibilities.

Responsibilities include leading administration, security, treatment programs; developing long-range plans; building relationships with client departments; implementing policies; ensuring health, safety and facility readiness for inmates and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
• Minimum of five years of related administrative experience.
• Knowledge of objectives, policies and requirements for managing a secure detention/correctional facility.
• Strong leadership, judgment and administrative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides leadership for administration, security, and treatment programs.
• Develops and maintains relationships with client departments and representatives.
• Implements policies and directives for efficient administration and staff discipline.
• Directs activities of facility functions and delegates authority.
• Ensures procedures and techniques are in place for health, safety and welfare of inmates and staff.
