Job summary

IST Management seeks a detail-oriented Workplace Services Assistant Facilities Manager in Port Arthur, TX, reporting to the Facilities On-site Operations Manager to support daily facilities operations and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and smooth event prep.

The role requires 3+ years in corporate facilities, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office; offers $35 per hour, Monday–Friday with some evenings/weekends, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 3 years or more experience and skilled in facilities management in a corporate setting environment required.
• Strong communication skills both verbally and written with clients and vendors - a must.
• Flexibility with schedule required.
• Excellent organizational skills - a must.
• Must be an analytical and critical thinker.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the On-site Operations Manager with daily facilities operations.
• Help maintain a safe and functional work environment while staying compliant with all company policies and regulartory requirements.
• Monitor facility conditions and report any issues to On-site Operations Manager and be prepared to address issues accordingly.
• Assist in coordinating preventative maintenance programs, system inspections, and equipment repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems including HVAC, building automation systems (BAS), fire alarm systems, lighting controls, and backup power systems.
• Be able to monitor, track and maintain needed documentation (building records, project files, operational reports, contracts, and regulatory documentation).
