Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Event Setup and Support: assist with setup, breakdown, and on-site support for events.

  • Transport and handle larger decor items and maintain cleanliness during events.
  • Maintain venues and restrooms; ensure equipment and areas are safe and tidy.
  • Operate vehicles safely for loading/unloading and timely deliveries.

# Facilities & Operations AssociatePeachtree Catering & Events - Wayne, PA 19087## OverviewSalary Range$18.00 - $25.00 Hourly## Faciliites & Operations AssociateThe Facilities & Operations Associate at Peachtree Catering & Events assists with day-of event execution, loading/unloading delivery trucks, delivering products to various locations, and setting up locations for events while professionally representing the company at all times. Driving, general cleaning, and maintenance skills are required, and this role is required to work weekends. A valid Driver’s License is required for this position. The Facilities & Operations Associate must be punctual and able to follow explicit instructions both verbally and in writing (including checklists) and will be expected to learn industry-specific terms, tools, and procedures. Our industry requires excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills. The Facilities & Operations Associate should be comfortable working all aspects of special events, including but not limited to: room/tent set up, truck loading/unloading, packing inventory for transport according to a packlist, delivering product(s) during events, and venue clean-up and maintenance.**Responsibilities*** Event Setup and Support + Assist with event setup, breakdown, and maintenance and support onsite team during assigned events + Receive, organize, pack, and stage event materials + Set up reception spaces, ceremony space, and all outdoor event spaces according to specifications on event floorplan + Build and light fire pits and maintain throughout events as required + Support in transporting of any larger decor items + Maintain an awareness of any cleanup or issues that may arise throughout events + Maintain restroom cleanliness during events and restock as needed + Breakdown tables and chairs flip space as needed for next event + Maintain ownership over all event items listed on provided packsheet, ensuring any equipment brought to event is broken down, safely packed in truck and returned to main facility after events + Dispose of all event trash + Inspect the area outside the building after each event, ensuring cleanliness for the next event and reporting any issues to management, as needed. + Ensure buildings are shut down properly at the end of events or tour days, including turning off all lights inside and outside, closing all windows and locking all doors.* Venue Maintenance + Maintain venue cleanliness throughout the week and on event days, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, removing scuffs, etc. + Keep all storage spaces clean, organized, and optimized + Ensure cleanliness and functionality of all in-house furniture, including but not limited to replacing dirty chair cushions, cleaning sofas, tightening patio furniture, and wiping ceremony chairs prior to guest arrival + Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock as needed + Inspect interior and exterior lighting throughout the week, making sure each bulb is working and replace as needed + Perform routine maintenance tasks and report any larger issues to management promptly* Vehicles and Equipment Handling + Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as required for event needs + Safely transport food and event equipment in vehicles (including sprinter vans and box trucks), taking care to not damage equipment and adhering to all speed limits and traffic laws + Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of vehicles + Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions + Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip + Communicate regular car service requirements to management and report any issues + Ensure that vehicles are always fueled and ready for use## Qualifications* A valid driver’s license and ability to safely drive with a clean record required. At least one year of experience driving box trucks/vans is preferred.* 1–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or event infrastructure, such as table and linen types and sizes, is preferred.* Familiarity with GPS devices* Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs* Ability to stand for extended periods* Professional, positive communication with colleagues, clients, and vendors.* Strong organization skills, time management, attention to detail, and follow-through.* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.* Maintenance experience such as lighting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical is a plus.* Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
