Job summary

Biltmore Event Services in Asheville, NC is seeking an Event Crew 2 to support setup/strike for weddings, events, and functions. You will drive company vehicles for delivery and installation tasks with minimal supervision, and assist the department and guests as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, strong guest service, and the ability to follow directions from pull sheets, emails, or calls. Training provided; groomed for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
• At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event set up and logistics preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
• Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
• Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
• Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely operate a box truck.
• Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guest.
• Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items.
• Setup rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival.
• Rigging items that are 25lbs and under such as small chandeliers, bistro lighting, and other decor.
• Running and connecting power requirements up to 20 amps.
• Complete the installation of express/high peak/pop up style tents without supervision and supporting the team with larger installations.
• Safely operating a warehouse forklift.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
