Job summary

The City of Gresham is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 to join the Facilities Management team. This role performs skilled maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and landscaping tasks in City buildings and grounds.

You will work collaboratively in a team, but also perform tasks independently with limited supervision. Candidates should have strong safety awareness, a valid driver's license, and a track record of reliable maintenance work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–4 years experience in facilities repair, HVAC, electrical, or related.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Licensing/certification progress will be completed within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform HVAC and electrical repair tasks.
• Carpentry, landscaping, painting and mechanical work with hand/tools.
• Operate light- to medium-duty trucks for materials delivery.
• Perform plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Oversee contractors and coordinate schedules to ensure compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and document maintenance activities.
• Support public and internal stakeholders with information.
