Job summary

Hillsboro R-III School District is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep district buildings and systems operating efficiently. You will perform a wide range of preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and landscaping duties to support a safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (or related experience), a valid driver's license, and the ability to work 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1 year related experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Replaces, repairs and maintains electrical and lighting fixtures.
• Maintains plumbing operations in district buildings.
• Performs general carpentry work and installs fixtures.
• Welds/fabricates metal items for district property.
• Maintains heating, ventilation and boiler equipment.
• Inspects and repairs doors/windows; locks and handles.
• Paints district property as needed.
• Operates landscaping equipment and maintains grounds.
