Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician II in Burlington, MA to lead and perform preventive and on-demand maintenance on store equipment and building systems.

You will troubleshoot HVAC and electrical issues, operate building controls, and mentor junior technicians to ensure safe, reliable store operations. The role requires 5–7 years in facilities with emphasis on mechanical maintenance, HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems, with strong communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; associates or higher preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 5+ years working with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input/output functions and low voltage signaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform on-demand and preventive maintenance for critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and EMCS; verify proper building operation.
• Lead equipment and building rounds, document findings and mentor other technicians.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as parts ordering, purchase orders, and vendor meetings.
• Maintain a safe working environment following all safety procedures and LOTO/PPE guidelines.
