Job summary

The Scion Group in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Facilities Technician II to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, prepare apartments for turnovers, and manage supplies to keep our properties safe and functional.

You will work in a fast-paced collegiate setting, applying problem-solving and technical skills to operate building systems, coordinate with vendors and supervisors, and help sustain high service levels for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Log and complete service requests using BAS, Entrata, and CMMS.
• Maintain property per SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding tasks to maintain the asset.
• Oversee major building systems: RTUs, boilers, pumps, HVAC piping.
• Monitor life-safety systems: pumps, alarms, detectors, extinguishers.
• Assist in creating emergency and disaster plans.
• Maintain key management and escort vendors as needed.
• Coordinate schedules with vendors and the Facilities Supervisor.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure daily completion of all service requests.
• Document work and parts; include notes, materials, dates.
• Maintain cleanliness of workshops and storage areas.
• Inspect vacated apartments and arrange repairs.
• Regularly inspect common areas and ensure lighting works.
• Assist with snow removal when required.
