Job summary

The Reserve at Greensboro, Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Facilities Technician II to support maintenance, preventive tasks, and apartment turnovers at the property. This role ensures safety and functionality of buildings and equipment while delivering high-quality service to residents.

Responsibilities include system diagnostics, life-safety testing, and coordinating with vendors under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and with minimum of 3-5 years of full-time general maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination.
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intention to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Ability to work after-hours and weekends, with flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Perform maintenance work to minimize liability and support asset upkeep.
• Lead operating, system monitoring/diagnostics, and preventive testing for major building systems.
• Monitor life safety systems including fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, detectors, and emergency lighting.
• Assist in creating emergency and disaster preparedness plans.
• Coordinate vendors and schedules with the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
