Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform maintenance, preventive tasks, and turnovers at a property in Texas. You will work under the Facilities Supervisor to ensure safety, functionality, and high service levels for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include logging work in Entrata and CMMS, performing basic repairs, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, EPA and CPO credentials, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and 1-3 years of full-time general maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination.
• EPA 608 Type I certification
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intention to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of key management and security systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures with a safety conscious attitude, punctuality and dependability
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to access computer programs and use Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation system & Digital Control System
• Ability and willingness to travel when required
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in Entrata and CMMS for service requests and completed work.
• Maintain property condition according to SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Perform maintenance and repair work to minimize liability.
• Execute maintenance objectives with the Facilities Supervisor.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance/repair promptly.
• Ensure all service requests are completed daily.
• Document work performed, parts used, and follow-up needs with signatures.
• Promote good relations with residents and staff.
• Inspect vacated apartments and record needed repairs.
• Carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work as needed.
