Job summary

Meritage Hospitality Group is seeking a Facilities Technician to support restaurant operations across our corporate portfolio. You will perform maintenance on cooking equipment and building systems, manage work orders, and coordinate with suppliers.

The role requires practical trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) and strong troubleshooting, planning, and communication abilities. Expect a schedule with on-call duties, weekends, and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in general shop and/or building maintenance.
• Basic trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cooking equipment, appliance repair and HVAC/refrigeration.
• Industry compliance and safety awareness.
• Ability to plan and schedule work.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Adaptability to changing tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair cooking and prep equipment as needed.
• Interior and exterior maintenance including electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry.
• Follow Preventative Maintenance schedules as directed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers, suppliers and service providers; order parts as needed.
• Review and complete work orders and projects on time and in quality.
• Provide visit summaries with next steps and close-out actions.
• Communicate technical information clearly to the organization.
• Operate a company van and maintain parts inventory.
• Keep tools in good working condition.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate urgency.
• Attend staff and required meetings.
• Work hours including on-call, holidays and weekends.
