Job summary

Maymont Foundation in Richmond, VA is seeking a full-time Facilities and Equipment Technician to perform semiskilled maintenance on buildings, vehicles and service equipment. The role is hands-on, receiving and completing daily work orders under the Manager of Facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of facility and equipment maintenance experience.
• 1 year of specialized/technical training in electrical, plumbing or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-skilled maintenance for facilities and equipment (HVAC, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, custodial).
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Inspects facilities for public safety and reports hazards.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment; performs minor repairs.
• Receives, documents and completes maintenance requests in the work-order system.
• Collaborates with staff across departments to ensure smooth service delivery to visitors.
