Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician in Richmond, VA to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

The role is part of Engineering and Technical Services, focusing on supporting operations, preventive maintenance, and repairs to keep facilities compliant and efficient. Candidates should have 1–2 years of related experience and a physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Track completion in existing systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations; report violations to Management.
• Follow defined procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures under close supervision and guidance.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks described in detail.
