Job summary

Mercy is seeking an entry-level Facility Systems Technician I to learn operations for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and related systems. The role supports hospitals and clinics, emphasizing safety and high-quality service.

Training will cover use of tools, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position requires basic knowledge across trades, strong communication, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with basic knowledge of boiler/HVAC/refrigeration.
• 1–2 years of trade school recommended for advancement.
• Must have communication and math skills for testing and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair electrical/plumbing systems and equipment.
• Provide safe environment and support Environment of Care.
• Learn to use basic tools and equipment for HVAC/refrigeration maintenance.
• Attend training for fire door, UL firestop, and NFPA 80 regulations.
