Job summary

Mercy is seeking an entry-level Facility Systems Technician I to learn operations for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical work, and safety practices in support of Mercy’s hospitals and clinics, with recommended trade school preparation.

You will gain hands-on experience with basic tools, preventive maintenance, and regulatory requirements while maintaining safe, compliant environments.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with basic knowledge of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical work.
• One or two years of trade or technical training recommended for advancement.
• Strong communication and safety awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems to maintain facility safety.
• Support hospitals and clinics with building systems and safety procedures.
• Follow Mercy policies; develop skills toward Facility Systems Technician II.
