Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Entry-Level Facility Systems Technician I to learn and perform operations for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems in hospital facilities. You will learn safe work practices, regulatory requirements, and proper use of tools while supporting Mercy's Environment of Care.

This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and attention to safety, with opportunities to advance as you gain certifications and experience in healthcare maintenance settings.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with basic knowledge of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, control system maintenance and operation.
• 1+ years commercial experience preferred in HVAC, boilers, or refrigeration equipment.
• Requires valid driver’s license and ability to travel to Mercy locations.
• EPA approved Universal Certification for refrigerants preferred; NFPA 80 & UL fire stopping training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Learn proper use of basic tools and equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure a safe working environment and support an exceptional Environment of Care.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with hospital staff and managers.
