Job summary

CBRE Lead Building Engineer position in Denver oversees complex building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety controls. You will manage maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.

Role requires hands-on expertise, supervisory experience, and certifications in CFC and related trades. The team focuses on safe, compliant operations while delivering value to clients and sustaining CBRE standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.

Responsibilities

• Assign work orders and estimate time and materials for repairs; maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on advanced mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives for building operations.
• Develop an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Oversee and inspect work by outside contractors; respond to inquiries from clients and staff.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and manage repairs.
• Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for compliance.
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and processes across the team.
• Demonstrate expertise and mentor others across disciplines.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values in daily work.
• Contribute to new products, processes, and operational plans aligned with goals.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively to influence stakeholders.
