Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer position in Tucson, AZ is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety. You’ll support preventive maintenance, energy management, and repairs to ensure equipment operates at design conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient operation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety and hazardous materials handling policies.
• Review building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design conformity.
• Apply standard principles and procedures to complex tasks.
• Coach and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and help build consensus according to CBRE values.
