Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related areas. You will support preventive maintenance and energy management programs while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

You will work on-site, perform emergency repairs, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-operated facility following CBRE policies and client specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, combination of experience and education considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and systems; keep facilities up to standards.
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program; ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep workspace safe.
• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure operation meets design specs.
• Apply knowledge to solve complex maintenance tasks and provide solutions.
• Coach and share knowledge with team; lead by example within CBRE RISE values.
