Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Facilities Technician for a 12‑month, full‑time contract in Herndon, VA (onsite). The role supports maintenance, safety inspections, conference room setup, and moves, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with at least 3 years in facilities maintenance and strong LO/TO skills. Pay ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), HSA/FSA, life insurance, and more.

• Proficiency in Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LO/TO) procedures.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and team player.
• Physical requirements include climbing ladders, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts.
• Will need to work outside, inside, walking building and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance activities including plumbing repairs, electrical device installations, temperature adjustments, wall/door repairs, and service requests.
• Performs preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections of the assigned building, reporting issues to the Facilities Manager.

• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as directed by the Facilities Manager.
• Maintains detailed and accurate records.

Position Summary

Facilities Technician. Position Type: Full-time contract, Possible Contract to Hire. Duration: 12 months. Location: Herndon, VA 20170 (Onsite/ 1st shift/7AM-4PM).

Essential Functions

• Performs basic maintenance activities such as, but not limited to changing, plumbing repairs, electrical device installations, temperature adjustments, wall/door repairs, and service requests.
• Performs preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections of assigned building, promptly reporting any maintenance issues to Facilities Manager.
• Supports conference room set‑ups and teardowns.
• Supports Facilities moves, furniture installations, and reconfigurations.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as directed by the Facilities Manager.
• Performs detailed and accurate record keeping.
• Promotes effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co‑workers.
• Supports the overall goal of maintaining a neat, clean, and comfortable work environment.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Follows Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate

• High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range*: $35-$40/hr. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
