Job summary

MatX in Mountain View, CA is hiring a Facilities and Workplace Security Manager to own day-to-day office operations, large-scale construction projects, and security infrastructure. You will partner with Workplace Operations, Security & IT, and People teams, scale the facilities and security function, and lead with autonomy in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facilities or property management, program management, security management, or related roles.
• Ability to own a function and operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with startup pace and shifting priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects for tenant improvements and future buildings.
• Serve as the main contact for property management on operational issues.
• Own building physical security, infrastructure, policies, and training.
• Scale facilities and security teams as needed.
• Provide on-call support during off-hours for emergencies.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as they arise.
